July, 2025 — A cutting-edge educational course was set to ignite curiosity and innovation among students by introducing them to the transformative technologies of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and the internet of things (IoT). The course was designed to blend theory with practical experience and offers participants a comprehensive understanding of these emerging fields through interactive, hands-on activities and real-world applications.
The course began by exploring foundational concepts in AI and ML, followed by guided practice in training models for image, audio, and human posture classification using an intuitive online web service tool. The immersive approach ensures learners not only grasp the theoretical underpinnings but also gain firsthand experience in building and refining AI models.
Each participant received an IoT experiential kit comprising a microcontroller, circuit board, and mini LCD display. With their own laptops, students will set up development environments and learn to program the microcontroller for mobile control via Wi-Fi and web interfaces. The exercises culminate in the creation of diverse IoT applications, reinforcing technical skills and creative problem-solving.
Beyond technical mastery, the course emphasized technological entrepreneurship. Students had to collaborate on group projects to design and prototype AI/ IoT services or products with commercialization potential. This entrepreneurial component encourages innovation and prepares students to navigate the evolving tech landscape with confidence.
To recognize excellence, a certificate of outstanding performance will be awarded to participants who demonstrate exceptional skill and creativity throughout the course. By combining hands-on learning, collaborative innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, this course offers a dynamic platform for students to become future leaders in AI and IoT development.
