August, 2025 — As the project concludes its second year, the transformative impact on education is increasingly evident through a suite of tangible deliverables and widespread adoption across primary and secondary schools.
The fully operational of the platform includes the Learning Center which empowers educators to manage courses, activities, and assessments with advanced AI features such as grammar checks, essay evaluations, speech analysis, and automated question generation; the Data Center facilitates personalized student portfolio management and integrates seamlessly with platforms like Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams, with multi-course portfolio capabilities in development; the Resource Center has emerged as a collaborative hub for sharing lesson plans, multimedia content, and structured courses, with expanded resource types on the horizon. Pilot testing in local schools continues to generate valuable feedback, guiding iterative improvements. Updated user manuals and robust feedback mechanisms, including surveys and interviews, ensure the platform evolves in response to real classroom needs.
3 school visits were performed in the past year and insights into digital resource integration and instructional methodologies were gained. Teacher training sessions introduced AI-powered tools such as voice support in Cantonese and Mandarin, grammar correction, and math problem-solving, alongside the IBOX Link e-book platform for enriched poetry instruction. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with educators praising the clarity and relevance of the training. Class preparation meetings and class observations, which identified technical issues and usability suggestions were also performed. Platform updates such as adding “copy and paste” functionality were added according to the feedback.

To expand beyond Hong Kong, the project team promoted iClass ONE at the EdTech Strategy Workshop @ Qianhai HKUTEA and conducted training in 2 schools in Foshan. Feedback led to confirmed enhancements like subject and year filters for improved course navigation.

At the Learning & Teaching Expo 2025, iClass ONE showcased its AI-enabled Teaching & Learning Management System, Blended Learning Video-on-Demand, and Reading Module. Educators explored hands-on demonstrations of the Teaching and Learning Platform, Data Hub, and Resources Library, gaining insights into how AI and big data can elevate educational outcomes. The platform’s integration with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams was especially praised for its practicality and ease of implementation.
With growing interest from educators and a commitment to free access under QEF funding, iClass ONE continues to position itself as a forward-thinking solution in the competitive EdTech landscape. The Hong Kong Productivity Council’s support at LTE 2025 further underscored the sector’s dedication to innovation, productivity, and meaningful collaboration in shaping the future of education.
