August 28, 2025 — The kick-start meeting of the QTN development program for the school year 2025/26 was held for primary and secondary school teachers, focusing on STEAM-related cross-subject collaboration and self-directed learning. The program provides support to STEAM education through topics including 3D technologies, robotics, VR and AR technologies and smart city. Building on the success of last year’s efforts, the program continues to empower educators with the tools and strategies needed to lead curriculum development and enhance student engagement through interdisciplinary approaches.

Activities held last year were recapped in the meeting, including featuring teacher development workshops, hands-on training sessions, on-site class preparation, and classroom observations. These efforts helped educators refine their teaching practices and explore new ways to integrate STEAM concepts across subjects. This year, the initiative has evolved to adopt a more holistic and inclusive strategy. The new approach emphasizes whole-class participation, cross-disciplinary lesson design, and targeted pull-out activities that allow students to explore STEAM topics in greater depth.

Examples of STEAM education were also introduced in the meeting as a recap of previous work and the sharing was continued by the introduction of the application on education of the emerging technologies and how we can provide our support under our QTN-DT scheme.
