June 26, 2025 — The 2024–25 Quality Education Fund Thematic Network Scheme – Tertiary Institutes (QTN-T) Online Sharing Session was successfully held, bringing together educators, school leaders, and academics from across Hong Kong to exchange ideas on innovative approaches to STEAM education. Organized by the e-Learning Development Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at The University of Hong Kong, the event served as an inspiring platform to showcase outstanding teaching practices and the fruitful outcomes of this year’s school-based support initiatives.

In alignment with the Education Bureau’s ongoing commitment to enhancing STEAM literacy among primary and secondary students, the sharing session highlighted how schools are integrating emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support personalized and self-directed learning. Participants discussed practical strategies for fostering the 21st-century skills essential for global citizenship and sustainable development.

Through engaging case studies and reflections, participating teachers demonstrated how AI and design thinking can be effectively incorporated into teaching, learning, and assessment. The session also explored best practices for curriculum planning, e-learning integration, and hands-on STEAM activities that encourage creativity and problem-solving.

The event concluded on a high note, reinforcing the importance of collaboration among educators in advancing STEAM education through innovative teaching methods. Participants left with renewed inspiration to apply self-directed learning strategies and technological innovations in their classrooms, preparing students to thrive in an ever-evolving digital world.
